From September 27 to October 11, St James' church is proud to be hosting the Journey into Light exhibition. This exhibition of artwork, which is touring the Chester Diocese, comprises over 40 individual pieces produced by female prisoners at HMP Styal and HMP Thorncross, Cheshire. The aim of the exhibition is to demonstrate to visitors that behind every prisoner’s conviction and sentence is a personal story of love, hope and loss. The church will be open each day from 11am to 3pm for visitors to view this moving display of truly high quality paintings.
