From 18 March, Evening Prayer has been said at 7pm every evening for our parish, country and world. The church bell at St James has been rung at this time and some people have paused to pray in their own homes. On 25 July, this practice ended as both Emmanuel and St James churches are now open at selected times for private prayer and re-opening for public worship is being planned.
